Is there any way to remove the position or team abbreviation from the end of a players name if there is no comma. Just a space.
For example: Drew Brees NO
Is there a way to just remove the last 3 characters in a cell?

Yes there is.
You want to use the following formula, assuming "Drew Brees NO" is in cell A1.
=TRIM(LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-3))
What this does is the LEFT function takes the leftmost characters from the cell. and that part LEN(A1)-3 means it finds the length of the cell and takes 3 off of it.
However, sometimes you might get 3 chars for the team name like "Matt Ryan Atl". Well this will still work for that, taking out the Atl. But the TRIM part of the formula takes out all the unneccessary spaces.
Hope this helps you!
